50th Birthday Parties

Sheila the Elephant gets in the mood, the ladies of The Magic Flute throw a tea party in their dressing room and Strathclyde Friends dress the part
Where will yours be?
Parties are already happening up and down the country to celebrate our 50th anniversary and raise funds for Scottish Opera. From cast tea parties in the dressing rooms at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh to drinks on a coach on its way to one of our shows in Inverness, our 50th birthday celebrations are spanning the length and breadth of Scotland.
Whether you throw a La traviata cocktail party, complete with your own Parisian Punch, host a dinner with an opera-inspired menu (Spaghetti alla Norma anyone…?) or have afternoon tea with your friends, why not join the party? It's a great excuse for a get together, and a fabulous way to support us in our 50th year.
Stuck for inspiration?
We've been collecting photos to give you lots of ideas - you can even download our ready-made Pirates-themed menu. And don't forget to send us the pictures from your party when you have it!

What are you waiting for?
Getting started couldn't be easier - we’ll provide a party pack including a guide for hosts, party ideas, fundraising advice, invitations and even some balloons. All funds raised will go towards our work across Scotland.
