Join our Orchestra for a relaxed and intimate performance in one of Glasgow's most beautiful concert venues.
Our St Andrew’s in the Square concert series has become a highlight of Glasgow’s musical calendar. The beautifully restored Georgian church provides a relaxed and atmospheric setting for The Orchestra of Scottish Opera to leave the pit and take centre stage.
This season’s concerts have been curated by Scottish Opera Music Director, Francesco Corti. We welcome distinguished guest conductor Rory Macdonald who conducts the final concert in this year's series on Sunday 6 June.
Pieces to be performed include Bartok's Hungarian Sketches and Mendelssohn’s Overture and Incidental Music from A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Scottish Opera Emerging Artist, soprano Nadine Livingstone, sings two beautiful operatic arias: Mozart's 'Se il padre perdei' from Idomeneo and Rossini's 'Non si da follia maggiore' from Il Turco in Italia.
