The Scottish Opera Syndicate
Members of The Scottish Opera Syndicate are a group of supporters who have made a major financial commitment to help the Company put more opera on the stage. In return they enjoy a very personal relationship with us.
In 2007, the Syndicate supported a hugely successful new production of Il barbiere di Siviglia, directed by Sir Thomas Allen. With their continued financial backing, we were able to create an additional major production, in partnership with the 2008 Edinburgh International Festival, of Smetana’s The Two Widows. In 2009, Rossini's The Italian Girl in Algiers was also made possible with their help. This season they are supporting a new production of The Rake's Progress by Stravinsky.
Scottish Opera is keen to attract new Syndicate members. For an informal discussion, please call Felicity Osmond on 0141 242 0598 or email felicity.osmond@scottishopera.org.uk
