Translating Carmen

Our new production of Carmen is sung in English instead of the original French libretto, which we hope will enable our audiences to better connect with the story. The new version is by Christopher Cowell, who originally translated the libretto for an English National Opera production, and has now completed a revised version especially for our Carmen.
