Dinner with Speranza Scappucci
Dinner with Speranza Scappucci, conductor of Don Giovanni
As part of our season of events surrounding our upcoming production of Don Giovanni, including our Play a Supporting Role appeal, join us at this year’s Alexander Gibson Circle Patrons’ Dinner in Glasgow where our guest speaker will be Rome-born conductor, Speranza Scappucci. Speranza makes her UK debut with Scottish Opera this autumn conducting Sir Thomas Allen’s new production of Mozart’s darkly comic masterpiece.
The dinner will take place on Tuesday 3 September at 7pm in the beautiful House for an Art Lover, designed by internationally acclaimed Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh and set in the grounds of Bellahouston Park.
Speranza will talk to us about her successful international career, what it means to be working with Scottish Opera and give some musical insights into Don Giovanni. We will also enjoy singing from Lisa Milne, who is performing the role of Donna Elvira in the new production.
The evening will begin with a sparkling wine reception, followed by a three-course meal and coffee. Tickets are £80 per person and can be purchased by calling Lorna Gibson, Events Manager on 0141 242 0592 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
