Supporting Scottish Opera at 50

We have just celebrated our 50th year but there are still opportunites for you to support Scottish Opera's next 50 years.

You can still be a part of it...

The 50th Anniversary Appeal

When Alexander Gibson founded Scottish Opera in 1962, he changed the face of opera in Scotland. He not only created an opera company for the nation, he reinvigorated the art form itself with countless new and often worldacclaimed productions.

The Alexander Gibson Circle was created to continue his legacy, and particularly to support the staging of new productions. Since then, hundreds of people have joined our family of Patrons by giving £150 a year or more, helping us bring a wide range of opera to life. Last season, the Circle supported Wagner’s The Flying
Dutchman.

Annual gifts like this make a real difference, and not only to creating a fantastic 50th birthday season. Most importantly, they allow us to continue to nurture Sir Alex’s inspirational vision for the next 50 years and beyond.

Give online - become a Patron of The Alexander Gibson Circle today.
