Salary: £32,825.35 per annum

Scottish Opera is Scotland’s national opera company and the largest performing arts organisation in Scotland.
Scottish Opera is looking for a skilled and detail-driven CAD Technician to help bring our productions to life. To support the smooth delivery of Scottish Opera projects and workshop, the CAD Technician will undertake drawing duties to provide construction drawings and CNC files for the workshop. Alongside venue ground plans for performances across Scottish Opera’s activities.
What you'll do:
- Create and update 2D/3D CAD drawings for our in-house workshop
- Produce CNC-ready files and ground plans for performances across Scotland
- Collaborate with designers and production teams to turn creative visions into reality
- Help maintain an organised, digital archive of technical drawings
What you'll bring:
- Advanced AutoCAD skills (2D & 3D)
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
- A keen eye for detail and clear communication skills
- Bonus points for theatre or scenic construction experience!
Based in our Glasgow workshop, this is a fantastic opportunity to combine technical skill with artistic flair at the heart of Scotland’s national opera company.
