Big Give

Arts for Impact Campaign

Donate to the Arts for Impact campaign to help nurture Scotland’s Young Creative Talent

Thanks to the advanced contributions of The Reed Foundation and a generous Scottish Opera supporter, when donating to the Big Give's Arts for Impact campaign, every donation up to £10,000 will be matched pound for pound, making double the difference. Your support will provide workshops, placements and resources, allowing young people to develop desirable employability skills in a practical, hands-on setting.

The aim

To raise £20,000 to help young people across Scotland access opportunities in the creative industry, increasing their confidence and building vital skills along the way, whilst strengthening the talent pipeline for the vibrant Arts sector. Through delivery of a new Education and Outreach programme, we intend to tackle the decline in creative education and the growing skills gap in the Scottish Arts sector.

The impact

Delivery of skills-based workshops to secondary school and higher education students, allowing participants to grow their own metaphorical ‘toolkit’ and be introduced to the wide variety of creative career paths.

Produce live employability skills webinars featuring Scottish Opera staff across specialisms, which will see pupils develop desirable skills like teamwork and critical thinking.

Create meaningful education resources, such as filmed demonstrations and Production Studio tours, making creative career possibilities more accessible to Scotland’s geographically disparate population.

Provide valuable paid work experience placements for young people across every department of the Company, from operations, marketing and finance, to technical and fundraising, allowing participants to consolidate their learning and skills development in a professional setting.

How you can get involved

You can make a donation to our Arts for Impact campaign via the Big Give’s website between 17 - 24 March. Please note, for your donation to be match funded it must be made directly via the Big Give’s website.

Remember to tick the Gift Aid box to enable us to claim an additional 25% of the value of your gift at no additional cost to you.

Please share with your friends, family, colleagues and wider professional network.

This March, your gift will make double the difference so please do get involved.
