Terms and Conditions – Children’s Chorus 

The Children’s Chorus cost is £225 for three academic terms until Summer 2026. Payment is due by Friday 27 June 2025. You can make your payment using our payment portal.

If you would prefer to pay in 3 x instalments of £75, the first instalment is due on Friday 27 June, with the next instalments due 4 weeks before the start of the 2026 Spring and Summer terms.

Before the term starts:

Scottish Opera reserves the right to cancel a course. If a course is cancelled, all parents and carers will be notified and refunds for the full course amount will be issued within 14 days.

Once you have made payment, you/your child will have a membership with Scottish Opera and you are entitled to a 14 day ‘change your mind’ period, in which you can request a full refund by email. After this time, refunds are not offered.

During the term:

If your child is not able to continue with their membership for a medical reason, please contact us directly by emailing childrenschorus@scottishopera.org.uk.

If your child is no longer able to continue attending chorus rehearsals, a partial refund of £150 will be available (£50 a term if you have chosen to pay in instalments) until Thursday 25 September. After this date no refunds will be issued.

For children taking part in the Scottish tour of La bohème in the Autumn term:

The membership structure is the same as the main Children’s Chorus for children taking part in La bohème. The cost is £225 for three academic terms until Summer 2026. The La bohème rehearsal schedule differs from the weekly Glasgow Children’s Chorus rehearsal schedule, and detail of this will be shared with you in advance.

Please note that due to deadlines in place around children’s licences, costume fittings and their autumn rehearsal schedule, we are not able to offer membership refunds to children taking part in La bohème during the autumn term.
