We're excited to be announcing our brand new Season on Thursday 7 May, and to welcome new and familiar faces into the theatre for yet another enthralling year of opera!
Did you know our Friends and Patrons enjoy access to priority booking and a 20% discount on tickets for selected productions in our 2026/27 Season?
If you become a supporter by Friday 22 May, you will qualify for priority booking from 10am on Thursday 14 May to midnight on Wednesday 27 May, ahead of general public sale on Thursday 28 May.

Frequently asked questions
What productions qualify for priority booking?
Priority booking is available for productions at the following venues:
- Theatre Royal Glasgow
- Festival Theatre Edinburgh**
- Eden Court, Inverness
- His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen
The full 2026/27 Season will be announced on Thursday 7 May, after which time you will be able to view all production information, venues and dates.
**The Galloping Cure, part of Edinburgh International Festival, is not included in this offer.
What productions and ticket types qualify for a 20% discount?
A 20% discount on full price tickets is available during the priority booking period for all productions at the above venues except for:
- The Galloping Cure
- Access performances
Please note that the discount will be applied before any transaction and booking fees are added, and will not be cumulative with other discounts, such as concessions.
How do I book tickets during the priority booking period?
If you join as a Friend or Patron of Scottish Opera by Friday 22 May, you will receive an email and/or letter with instructions on how to book.
The email will contain links to book online for all of the productions that are eligible for priority booking, as well as your discount code for 20% off tickets booked during this period. There will also be instructions on how to book over the phone or in person at the venue box offices if you wish.
If you do not have an email address, then your letter will contain instructions for how to book over the phone or in person at the venue box offices.
What other benefits do I get to enjoy as a Friend of Scottish Opera?
As well as access to priority booking, you will also be able to:
- Get our season brochure delivered to your home for free.
- Attend dress rehearsals. As long as you've booked tickets for the production, you'll be offered the chance to attend the dress rehearsal free of charge.
- Enjoy study days, offering special insights into the operas being performed, talks, and recitals hosted in different areas. Study days always include lunch so you can catch up on what everyone else thinks.
- Receive regular issues of Brio, our supporters' magazine. Keep up to date with company events and performances. Widen your knowledge through reading exclusive interviews with cast members and creative teams and find out about events in your local area.
- Visit opera houses at home and abroad. Recent group holidays have included trips to Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera, the Semperoper in Dresden, Oper Frankfurt and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
- Pre-order programmes so you receive them ahead of your booked performance.
- Join a community of people who love and value opera. When you become a Friend, you'll receive a specially designed Scottish Opera lapel pin so you can show your support wherever you are.
