Presented by Scottish Opera's Community Choir
Travelling TalesPollokshaws Burgh Hall, Glasgow:
12 June 2026, 7.30pm
Since the earliest days of humanity, the desire to travel, broaden horizons, and discover new lands has been hardwired into us. Those travelling tales have been woven into music and song for almost as long. Inspired by these songs of travel, and the wonder of Victorian magic lantern shows, Scottish Opera's Community Choir present an evening of songs, words, and moving pictures exploring wheels, wings, and the wonderful ways we have found to satisfy this wanderlust.
From Hamish McCunn's epic cautionary tale The Wreck of the Hesperus, to stories of hope that change is coming, join us for our whimsical journey of travelling songs.
