On Tuesday 19 September, Scottish Opera was announced as one of the world’s first Confucius Classroom Hubs based outwith a school setting.
Scottish Opera, along with other major UK opera companies and the V&A Museum, will be collaborating with BBC Arts Digital on #OperaPassion Day on Thursday 19 October
Scottish Opera’s production of Debussy’s Pelléas and Mélisande has been nominated for a UK Theatre Award 2017 in the Achievement in Opera category.
Scottish Opera took home two prizes at the Sunday Herald Culture Awards 2017, held at SWG3 in Glasgow on July 13 2017.
Jane Davidson, Director of Outreach and Education at Scottish Opera, was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Year 2017 Honours List. She received her award at an investiture ceremony at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh earlier today.
