SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT GRANT AWARDED TO SCOTTISH OPERA’S GROUNDBREAKING PROJECT BREATH CYCLE II FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH LONG COVID

We are delighted to announce that our groundbreaking project, Breath Cycle II, designed to support those with a range of conditions affecting lung health, in particular Long COVID, has been awarded a grant of £86,892 by the Scottish Government.

SIR DAVID MCVICAR RETURNS TO SCOTTISH OPERA TO DIRECT PUCCINI’S IL TRITTICO FOR THE FIRST TIME

We are thrilled to present the Scottish Opera premiere of Puccini’s epic triple bill, Il trittico, this Spring. Opening at Theatre Royal Glasgow on March 11 before touring to Festival Theatre Edinburgh, this new co-production with Welsh National Opera is directed by the world-renowned Scot, Sir David McVicar. This is the first time he has directed this glorious trio of one-act operas — Il tabarro (The Cloak), Suor Angelica (Sister Angelica) and Gianni Schicchi
