SCOTTISH OPERA LAUNCHES #OPERAFIRSTTIMER COMPETITION FOR TICKETS TO DON GIOVANNI

Are you always trying to convince that one friend that they’ll love the opera? Are you that one friend who always says no?

We know opera can seem like a daunting prospect to some, and we want to show you what an incredible experience it is! For our #OperaFirstTimer competition we are giving you the chance to see our upcoming production of Don Giovanni. Stephen Fry himself says it’s the perfect first opera – is he ever wrong?

We’ll give two tickets to the winner, and tWo tickets to their nominated friend. Tickets available in Glasgow, Inverness, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen. Winner announced on Monday 23 May 2022.

Terms and Conditions

1. This competition is being promoted and prize provided by Scottish Opera 39 Elmbank Crescent Glasgow, G2 4PT Company Registration Number SC037531. A charity registered in Scotland Number SC019787
2. Scottish Opera competition starts at 18:00 on Monday 9 May 2022 and closes at 23:59 on Sunday 22 May 2022 (the “Competition Period”). Any entries received outside the Competition Period will be void.
3. Entry is through Scottish Opera social media platform Facebook and Instagram.
4. There will be one entry chosen to receive the Competition Prize.
5. The entry will be selected at random from all valid entries for this competition received during the Competition Period.
6. The prize is two pairs of tickets for a Performance of Don Giovanni at one of the performance venues in Glasgow, Inverness, Edinburgh or Aberdeen subject to availability.
7. The winners will be notified by Direct Message on the platform they have entered within seven days after the Competition Period. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during the specified time. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, the Scottish Opera reserves the right to re-draw another winner from the valid/correct entries that were received during the Competition Period.
8. Scottish Opera will never ask participants to follow a link, or send money in relation to a competition. Please ignore any messages from any other account but @scottishopera
9. The prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives to the prize in whole or in part if the winners cannot or decide not to attend. Travel is not included.
