SCOTTISH OPERA’S CELEBRATED SHOW LAUDER TOURS TO PITLOCHRY, HELENSBURGH AND ST ANDREWS THIS AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER FOLLOWING TRIUMPHANT NEW YORK RUN

The renowned tenor and broadcaster, Jamie MacDougall, is touring Scotland this summer with his powerhouse solo show, Lauder, celebrating the legendary Scottish entertainer.

Co-produced by us and Loch Doune Productions, Lauder will visit Pitlochry Festival Theatre on 5 and 6 August as part of ‘Edinlochry’, The Tower Digital Arts Centre in Helensburgh on 7 and 8 August, and The Byre Theatre in St Andrews on 5 September.

Fresh from a four-week run on Broadway, it is an exploration into the public and private personas of Sir Harry Lauder, one of Scotland’s original superstars and philanthropists who, by 1911, had become the world’s highest paid performer.

This production of the musical play has been adapted by director Kally Lloyd-Jones and Jamie from the original script by comedian, actor and impresario Jimmy Logan. Logan performed Lauder for the first time in 1976 in Edinburgh, before it toured around the world. It was also broadcast on television, and he revived the show in 2000 for the Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

More information and tickets are available from the venue websites.
