Our versatile and flexible rehearsal facilities are available for hire. Spaces extend across our three sites: our Headquarters in the city centre; our Production Studios up at Rotterdam Wharf, near Cowcaddens; and our Silver Cloud Studio in Hillington Park.

Headquarters
Our Headquarters are a hidden gem in the centre of Glasgow. Tucked behind the King's Theatre, they are located in the former Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders in Scotland, built in 1907. Period features are found throughout the building, from the grand marble staircase in our foyer - which also houses a memorial to the Titanic - to original fire buckets hanging on the walls, tiled fireplaces and wooden panelling. Fantastic stained glass throughout the building, including in the Rankine Hall (pictured above), highlights the progress and achievement of shipbuilding and engineering over the centuries.
Both bright and airy rehearsal rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling mirrors and blackout curtains, and the Rankine Hall features dance mat flooring. The meeting rooms, including the building's original Board Room, offer an unusual and comfortable space for away days and external meetings.

Transport links: 1min walk from Charing Cross rail station, with direct trains to Glasgow Central and 14min walk from St George's Cross or Cowcaddens subway station with connections to the West End and Southside.
Accessibility: Stairs, wheelchair access on request and small lift (max weight capacity 400kg; door width 80cm; inside: 1.22m width, 1.19m depth and 2m height).
Facilities: Guest WiFi, small kitchen with kettles, fridge and microwave, toilets (male, female and accessible/ unisex) and reception. No parking available.

- 2 x rehearsal spaces of 117 and 273 square meters each (Weir Hall and Rankine Hall)
- 3 x meeting rooms between 21 - 72 square meters each (G20, E3, and Board Room)
Production Studios
Housed in a modern, purpose-built facility with a café on-site (Willow Grove), our Production Studios are home to the Opera Rehearsal Room (ORR - pictured above), covering nearly 400sqm.
Originally built to mirror the size of the stage area of both Glasgow's Theatre Royal and Edinburgh's Festival Theatre, the versatile space lends itself to many uses.
Catering can also be arranged via the café.

Transport links: 7min walk from Cowcaddens subway station with connections to the West End and Southside, and 21min walk from Glasgow Central rail station.
Accessibility: Stairs and ramp into building, lift to all floors (dimensions - 2.0 x 1.4m Weight capacity - 1200kg).
Facilities: Guest WiFi, small kitchen with kettle and fridge, toilets (male, female and accessible/ unisex), reception and on-street parking.

Silver Cloud Studio
Silver Cloud Studio (pictured above) has been converted from a large industrial unit into a modern rehearsal space with sound recording capabilities, and is primarily used by The Orchestra of Scottish Opera.
Location: Northpoint, Hillington Park, Unit 20, 37 Gordon Avenue, Glasgow, G52 4TG.
Transport links: 15min walk to Hillington West station, with direct trains to Glasgow Central.
Accessibility: Step-free access.
Facilities: Guest WiFi, small kitchen with kettles, fridge and microwave, toilets (male, female and accessible/unisex) and on-street parking. Fresh air venting available.
