Sir David McVicar’s Falstaff has captivated audiences with five sell-out performances at our Edington Street Car park in Glasgow, receiving high praise from critics.
To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Sir Walter Scott we have partnered with San Carlo Opera in Naples to present a short documentary about Lucia di Lammermoor. The documentary explores the connection between Donizetti’s Opera and Sir Walter Scott’s novel on which it is based.
Audiences can enjoy our performance of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel live on BBC Radio 3’s Opera on 3 programme on Saturday 29 May at 6.30pm.
Live theatre, music and opera are back, with an outdoor celebration at our Production Studio car park at 40 Edington Street, Glasgow. We will be joined by Citizens Theatre and Scottish Ensemble in a specially created outdoor theatre, with performances taking place over four weeks from 3 July to 1 August.
We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of our ground-breaking Outreach and Education programme, with plans for even more projects, bringing music and performance into the lives of people across the country.
